Mike Dresen and his crew were able to provide us with a plan we were excited about. And while the plan was abstract and had only intrinsic form, we felt very comfortable relying on and trusting their expertise. In the end, we couldn’t be happier. Our two-tiered retaining wall and patio is everything we wanted and it actually made us thankful for our unlevel yard that accommodated such a great patio design. Aside from the design and construction, we were also very impressed with the quality of the work crew and the neat and orderly way in which they did the job. In addition, they knew how to spare and preserve as many trees on our lot as possible, which was important to us. Whenever we entertain, the first thing people comment on is the beautiful patio, retaining wall and flowerbeds. It’s become the focal point of our yard. Because our back yard is sloped downhill, it was especially important to us that our patio serve as a place where we could enjoy our yard and entertain. We had great difficulty, because of the hill, visualizing how this could be accomplished. Function was a priority but so was aesthetics. We wanted it to be functional without it being a distraction from our views of the wooded yard and wildlife.
